What language will the sessions be in?
On Saturday and Sunday all activities will be held in Spanish. There will be interpreters available for other requested languages.
All of the Monday sessions will be held in English. Headphones with live Spanish translation will be available and other Mexican indigenous languages upon request.
What is the Dia de Alegria Retreat on Sunday and who is allowed to attend?
On Sunday, Dia de Alegria will focus on a one-day retreat, open to all farmworker families and conference attendees to relax, refresh, reflect and rejuvenate their spirit. See AGENDA
Who or what is considered a farmworker?
A farmworker, farmhand or agricultural worker is someone currently employed for manual labor in agriculture from fields to packing plants. California agriculture includes fruits, vegetables, nuts, dairy, livestock and floriculture.
Do we have to pay for the farmworker to attend?
No, all farmworkers are invited to attend the conference and retreat at no cost. There is no cost for the organization or farm owner to invite your client or employee. If you wish to sponsor a farmworker to attend CLICK HERE.
Do farmworkers have to register to attend?
Farmworkers are NOT required to register for the education sessions on Saturday or Dia de Alegria on Sunday. Farmworkers and their families must register for if they plan on staying overnight in a guest room.

What will happen at the Monday Conference?
The conference will convene leaders and stakeholders including nonprofit executives, elected officials, growers and farmworkers to share resources, gain knowledge and imagine innovative ways to uplift the agricultural community and make a significant impact on farmworkers and their families’ lives. We have limited space available and plan to have the following stakeholders attend:

10 - Growers
30 - Staff & Funders

A limited amount of Micro-Agencies with 20 or less employees/volunteers can attend the conference at no cost and may qualify for free accommodations if you are traveling more than 1 hour each way. Email info@farmworkercaravan.org to request a free pass.

Is the parking free?
Yes, parking is free.
What should I wear?
On Monday, Summer business casual attire during the day would be appropriate.
Wear comfortable low wedge or flat shoes. Do not wear high or spike heels.
If you are partaking in the reflection lake walk, hiking or morning exercises wear cool comfortable clothing.
On Saturday and Sunday wear modest Summer attire appropriate for a religious venue.
